Backbiting is a habit and ignoring is a skill.

Backbiting is a very common thing in society. Most people do that. I know it doesn't matter unless you get to know about it but when you know what a person said about you, it can be the cause of anguish and frustration. I have lots of colleagues who often do that. But what I feel when we know it's a very common thing then we should make it a habit of ignoring it. Why should we increase our blood pressure for it? I have this habit of ignoring it. Do you also ignore it or give importance to it?.

Most of the time ignoring is the best way to avoid to get annoyed. People can be mean.

@TheHorse I didn't think about but that's for sure they have sort of jealousy from others.

Yes, we should ignore such people and should not agree on ourselves.

Most back-biters are those who don't feel good about themselves, whether it be at work or in life.

Sometimes it is difficult to ignore. There was a lot of that that went on when I worked in an office. It wasn't a very pleasant work environment. I don't know why people have to be so mean?

Even my office has that environment. I hate people in the office.

@sjvg1976 I would say the majoriity of people there were fine, but there was one woman who was like the most two faced person I ever met in my life.

I always ignore others when they say bad things about me. If they talk about me that saves someone else.

I tend to ignore it. Actually, I take note of it but don't get emotionally involved. Then I avoid those people who do it often.

That's a good habit. If you get emotionally involved you will always remain sad.

Most feel comfortable to do it because they thought we wouldn't know about it. If they're talking bad stuff and I can hear it, I would probably confront them. If it's something I can ignore, I would do it.

You are wise to ignore it. There are lots of nasty people like that in the world, unfortunately.

@sjvg1976 Where we used to live the one above me that caused us so many problems would go out on his porch and use his cell phone and lied about what he said. I heard him one day and he told them what I did not say. I just hope if he was talking to someone that they figure out what a liar he is and not believe anything he says.

Ignoring is something I've had to learn through the years! Blood pressure over things intended to upset is something I will not allow any more
