Sunday evening, time to sleep

My husband slept until 10:30 this morning. Neither one of us knows why he is so tired.
I am wondering if some of it is the fact he got two vaccinations on Friday.whenhe went to see his VA doctor.
He was due a flu vaccine, and we get that every year. He and I have both had both of the pneumonia vaccines in the past. I think he may have gotten his first one ten years ago. They decided he needed it again. It is the vaccine that works to prevent 23 different pneumococcal infections.
We did not attend church, but we did go to my sister's house.
With her vision failing, she cannot read her appointment cards for all the doctors. Also some of those appointments are made on the phone.
I took a large white board and wipe off markers for her. I wrote the one appointment she is sure of in big letters on the board.
I did a little errand for her while I shopped.
I also read the paperwork to her that she got from her first ER visit last week. After I read it she felt better. What she had understood it to say was scaring her into thinking she would have a stroke at any second. That is not what it said.
So my good deeds are done. Errands are done. We ate from the freezer again. Pinto beans with ham and homemade cornbread. We also ate fresh peaches someone had given my sister and she said that they hurt her mouth.
I cooked up a large amount of brown rice which we will use in some meals and I will use to make lunches for the week.
I like to prepare ahead of time.
I am out of energy, so I will go pick out clothes for tomorrow, and then go straight to bed.

I was up early today. Tomorrow, Tuesday, we have a fire drill. It is always a good week.

You were busy. Glad your sister is calmer now.

Often when she hears the words she does not necessarily listen to them. She trusts me, though and that helps her pay better attention.

You did a lot of things, no wonder you are tired. Relax.

Despite sleeping in, you had a long, productive day.

@Gardengerty It's exhausting having responsibility for others, even if it is a labour of love and unbegrudged. It's hard getting everything fitted in on a Sunday - and Monday comes hot on its heels.

She would do the same for me if the situation was reversed.
