I usually use silent treatment and all I really want people to do is give me attention and show that they care. I don't think it is an abuse it is just a way to seek attention that you failed to get.

It's not nice when that happens. I hope you are OK.

The one who loves you would only want you to better either with them or for yourself just so you could be happy truly in life but if what they do hurts you and if that person is important to you then you need to do a treatment to make them understand that their behavior is not letting you live happy

Hi there. Welcome to mylot.
Yes. It is really hard to receive a silent treatment from your love ones. Why try to ask the reason why?

Love and value yourself more. It’s better than investing your emotion to someone who doesn’t seem to care about how you feel.

I know silent treatment can be daunting but maybe that person had a different way of coping and has his/her reasons. Give them some time maybe they'll come around.

If you are on the wrong wait for the person to specify and then apologize. If the other person has done you wrong then stay calm and try to forget the whole thing.

Don't worry too much about it. It will just go away. That kind of process will give you more ideas of what to do next whether to stay or part ways.
