I can't draw. But I really admire someone who has such skill.
Don't give up, failure is a delayed success,

I enjoy watching other people's drawing but I don't know how to draw at all. I'm sure you are a talented person, but sometimes we are being too harsh on ourselves and compared ourselves with other people that's why we think we are not good enough. Im happy your parents and friends are very supportive to you, and they are right it's not about winning or losing. Don't give up, I'm sure one day your talent will be recognized even if you don't win in a competition.
Don't consider that winning in a competition is way to measure your success.

I do enjoy drawing. And like you started drawing when I was a child. Your friends and family are right it is about loving what you do. Competitions can be rough but you can also learn a lot from them. If there's a piece that you really like from the competition ask the artist where they picked up their technique. I personally use youtube to keep up on lessons and practice very often.

I agree with your family and friends - if you enjoy it, that is what matters. I like it, but I can't do it well
