Our first plant purchase

This is one of the plants we bought yesterday. I know I’ve admired these on myLot before but I’m not sure who put the photo up. It is nice and decorative at least and maybe now we’ve started buying plants we’ll carry on and get some more.
The weather is back to miserable here. Tomorrow we’re visiting friends that we haven’t seen for ages and again I’m glad I kept in touch with them at Christmas. He is a Vietnam vet and has a few problems but is in a good place mostly now. He bought Vince’s thicknesser and Vin will give him a few tips about its use. A thicknesser planes planks of wood to an even thickness.
Tuesday will be movie night at our retirement village and Wednesday we head south to take photos. Never a dull moment it seems.

Your new plant is very pretty, I love it! Our weather is cooling down, we needed the gas fireplace on today. I'm glad you're getting to visit with your friends tomorrow, enjoy your visit:) Our life never slows down

@kobesbuddy I think it will be easy to propagate so I'll be trying to do that. Maybe in four years, I'll have some big enough to sell! lol

I knew this was a succulent but wanted to know more about it and therefore searched. It comes under the category of 'neglectable plants' as they require least maintenance (lol)

Did you find a name for the plant, by chance?

@DaddyEvil They come under the cactus variety but no individual name is given

@allknowing I couldn't find a name for them, either. I was hoping you'd had better luck than I've had.

The new plant looks fabulous. So have you bought any new plants as well after this one?

@JudyEv
I just hope that you complete your expected collection. However, maintaining plants in good conditions can be equally tough.

Yes proper gardening can be very time consuming.

@changjiangzhibin89 As it's a succulent, it should be relatively easy to grow. I'll soon find out I guess.

That is a lovely plant. Is it for planting outside or will it be a houseplant? (What type of plant is it?)
And by "miserable" you mean storming again or just a bit too warm?

@JudyEv I'm sorry. We're still having cooler weather. (We had to turn the heater on the last two days. Our days started off at 8C and only reached 20C by midafternoon.) It's 14C now but supposed to reach 31C this afternoon... No more rain for right now, at least.

@DaddyEvil 8C is starting to get a bit chilly. We haven't had the heater on the last few days.

That's a lovely plant. The weather has been glorious here. No more sweltering temperatures. Pleasant temps and sun. I'm glad you and Vince are keeping busy. Nothing going on here.
