A few days ago, my friends got a serious argument at the bookstore. Even some employees were staring at us. Yhey argue which is better between fiction and non-fiction. How about me? Of course I support both. Because both have benefit and appeal. But the fiction book has a little more special place in my heart. Nonfiction textbooks are very useful when we want to know science in detail. On me, books of fiction, besides providing entertainment with the writer's captivating imagination, fiction also teach us different perspectives because it is common in fiction that there are many characters. Fiction also benefited much from my creativity and imagination. So I had more novels, poems, prose, and others. Novels also helped me forgeting my worst feeling. We will dive into the plot there. I learn more moral value when i read fiction. How about you ?

I can read fiction and non fiction. It depends on what kind of mood I am in.

That seems a rather silly argument to have. Personally, I prefer to read non-fiction because I read to learn. There are non-fiction works that I have enjoyed but I generally don't enjoy reading for pleasure. I know I'm in the minority there! I also prefer to write non-fiction, but that's just because I'm better at it! Saying that, I'm good at poetry. Both fiction and non-fiction have their place. Of course people would have a preference, but neither is inherently better than the other

If it captures my interest, I'll read it. Bare in mind reading by choice is limited now that I don't have to.

I like non-fiction things the reason why is because you cna make up whether you want. It doesn’t have to be real or believe able. Your creating a world for people to jump into and read. So how find there way as one for the characters and kind fo feel or see what that’s person or creature is going through.

Non-fiction means that it is true. You cannot make up anything as truthful as life is but you can immerse the reader in the drama of it.

@akalinus I get the two mixed up all of the time. LD brains don’t work the way others would like them so getting. In my head why words none is no they asked I gave them my what I do and do not like. I prefer made up worlds I explained what more would you like from me? To go back in time fixe a genetics so that that I’ll remember every little terminology.

A good writer can write a non-fiction book in such a way as it is entertaining and fascinating. I have read horrible non-fiction and quite good non-fiction. It is how you write and not the subject matter.

Yes, actually both are very connected. Because to present knowledge requires storytelling skills as well. But, i prefer a full fiction. In a fiction, there is a lot of knowledge too

@yuliasss A lot of fiction is derived from the lives and realities of the author. That is why it is so interesting. I read and think that I did not know people did that or lived like that.

fiction, can also acquire a great deal of knowledge. For me, its more easier to remember more information being presented in fiction than non-fiction. Whatever we choose, its about a taste

I prefer fiction books. You escape into other worlds, other time periods, etc. and you can even learn something as well. But I guess you can do that in a non-fiction book as well. I mostly read fiction books.
