Had to share this story I read earlier. I talk a lot about little things. This is one of those stories.
A 97 year old lady in hospice never had a wedding gown when she married her husband 77 years ago.
The hospice staff put together a re-enactment of her wedding, but this time she wore a wedding gown. Her husband was also there in his Air Force uniform.
Look at how happy she is in this photo. Wow is all I can say. Anyone working for hospice deserves more pay than any other job.

How very sweet.
I have a friend who did not have a wedding gown nor a wedding, they eloped.
For their 25th they had a huge party, much like a wedding, she wore a gown, he wore a tux, they exchanged rings (again) and had a huge meal and reception after they renewed their vows.
Every detail of that day was perfect from my-a guest's perspective, and every aspect of the day from the bride's perspective, my friend, was also perfect.
I am so glad that they did it, today you would not be able to hold a large gathering such as that, no need to put such things off when they had been planned for 25 plus years.

We need more heartwarming stories like that. So happy for them. And how caring of the hospice folks.

77 years? That is awesome. I'm so happy for her; and I can only wish that we could make it to 77 years.

I would like to sit down with her and listen to what her life was like when she was a teenager.I bet it would be real interesting.
