No buns

Not those buns, silly.
We had bacon cheeseburgers tonight. We had sliced tomatoes, onions, pickles, bacon (of course) and sharp cheddar cheese.
We put the meat right on the plate.
Hubby says bread makes him too full. And we do not need the extra carbs.
We are not completely carb-less, we just chose to not have bread or buns with our burgers tonight.

I am eating too many carbs so it was good, and it was enough.

I know some people cannot have the bread. It is great when a restaurant will accommodate.

@Dena91 I asked for a bunless Whopper at Burger King, they do this quite often for people.

We had some "skinny" buns we could have used, but we just felt like doing without.

We do that a lot. The doctor wants me to cut out bread but I still have some once in a while.

I should cut out bread, rice and potatoes, but it is hard.

@DaddyEvil My doctor usually says everything in moderation. One diabetes educator said to have either the bread or the potatoes, but not both at one meal. If you are carb aware at all pretty soon you will notice how many carbs we eat on a regular basis.

@GardenGerty I know giving up carbs altogether isn't good for us, either... A person who eats no carbs at all can get mean and cranky. (When I was working out all the time for bodybuilding contests, a friend gave up eating carbs so he could cut and rip better. His trainer told him to do that. Nobody but his trainer was willing to be around him during that time. Just saying hello could get your head bitten off! He did look really cut and ripped while he was doing it, though.)

Me too. Unfortunately burger and hot dog buns do not count as "good" bread.

That's fine. I like a little bread with a sandwitch.

You can relish the taste of the meat that way.

@GardenGerty Too much bread is not good and those buns are full of bad ingredients, included sugar.

Those burgers sure sound good, I too enjoy burgers at times with no buns, One of my favorite ways is a grilled burger with some onions and tomatoes and a scoop of cottage cheese.

I tried having a burger without buns before and hated it. But then I'm a carb-y lol.

I love all kinds of bread, but it is not really good for me.

I am not much of a fry person, but hubby is. Since we are home there is always something more we can eat if we need it.

I had rice with my meatloaf at noon. I need to leave off some of the carbs.

When I do veggie burgers, I generally serve them on a bed of greens. I like to get the extra veggies in, and I try to limit my bread intake. Unfortunately, my husband's love of cookies does undermine the limiting refined carbs thing a bit.

Yes, that is one way to limit carbs. I do not bake much because I do love the stuff. It is not good for me.

It is not always needed. I see I am not the only one who will leave it off.

We do not buy bacon very often, so we really enjoy it when we do.
