I Lost My Friend Today

Today I got a phone call, saying the doctor said there was nothing else that could be done for my friend Martha. But what I didn't expect was, the lady she lived with to call me, so she could put the phone up to her ear. She said she could hear me. The only thing I could say was that I loved her. I was so overcome with emotion, I just hung up. So many expected her to come home, guess I did too. Last week, my pastor passed away. The one I had when I lived in California. So very much sadness and so many hurting people. It is nearly midnight and I just can't sleep. Prayers for her family.

My prayers for you as you deal with these multiple losses.

God provides comfort that we can’t understand or get from anywhere else, and I pray you receive it as you mourn both your friend and your former pastor.
