We have jobs or we work from home; we're satisfied at work or not.
Except for certain cases/people - Here there is no 24/7 WOW effect.
In my opinion, being a parent has got the WOW effect as you constantly encounter varied challenges.
I think it is the most fascinating job in the world !

I must agree with you. Parenting can be challenging, but it's rewarding. As my children have grown, I've certainly reaped the rewards. I've seen my tiny humans grow up into good, hard working people. Young men determined to achieve their goals and prepared to do whatever it takes to get there. I'm very proud of my boys - one a young actor, the other a trainee teacher. To know that I made these people and was the main contributor to their upbringing is amazing. My step-daughters are great as well, but I didn't help to raise them as they didn't come into my life until the youngest was 14. I'm still proud of them, though. One for being a wonderful mum to my three beautiful granddaughters, the other for her determination to succeed despite numerous setbacks.

Yes, I agree with that.
I'm an artist. I love to paint, even though some of my paintings don't go the way I wanted them to!

@sharonelton
What do you do when some of your paintings don't go the way you want them to?

Being a parent is a great responsibility...And it's amazing to seeing some parents become so good in parenting their children. However many children suffer from their controlling parents. Being a parent is such a skill and is a challenge from knowing how to raise a child well, how to budget etc.

It is a great responsibility; it's also a job quote unquote and we never lean this in school

It can be. But the same can be said for almost any job couldn't it?

@Kotzeralot Well, that's not true. About the breaks at least. If you use child care, or the child is of school age, then while they're gone, you get a break from the kid(s) for the time being. What you do with that time, is entirely up to you.

@kaylachan
Again I am afraid you are wrong.
1.Child care/early years-You didn:t factor in a minimum of a child being sick once in three days or so which means the parent (usually the munlm) has to take half a day offĂ—2 =one day off every week
2.School-Albeit a school day can be 6-8 hours - at times the child forgot something and the parent is asked to bering the key, sandwich etc, the parent is asked to come to school for various reasons.
Bottom line -
In my opinion being a parent is the toughest task upheld and the most rewarding

@kaylachan I am afraid I disagree with your assumption
1.other jobs can wait for tomorrow
2.with other jobs you get a break/breaks
