This friend is tall, slim and got curves in all the right place. But she would always listen to other people telling her that she isn’t pretty. That she’s only got a beautiful body but a so-so face. I don’t know what to tell her to convince her otherwise. She even hates shrimps. Poor shrimps minding their own business. Apparently some people call her ‘shrimp’ because when you eat shrimp you throw away the head and eat only the body. Blah blah blah Her insecurities are making her irrational and I couldn’t even share this dinner photo online without offending her.

It is a shame that your friend has a weakness of allowing persons to offend her over her looks. My late dad advised me to deal with insults by saying "Water off a duck."

That is so sad. People are so cruel...

@sol_cee I'm sorry... Just ask your hubby. I'm sure he loves you enough to peel them for you.

Maybe those who are calling her "shrimp" are envious...
I LOOOVE shrimps but I am allergic to it... I am too stubborn that I still eat it...
Anyway, we have a stock of anti allergy meds... Hihihihi

@sol_cee usually my ears turn red and become warm and itchy...
But there was a time when I ate a lot and I had abdominal pain and it's difficult to breathe. It lasted for about an hour...

@sol_cee i'm sorry, i understand know what she felt, but please tell her, if you still listen what they talked to you, you will never be loved by others, if you don't love yourself, then you will find it difficult to find others who love you, throw away negative thoughts and forget what they say, starting from loving yourself, other people will love you for who you are

I do like shrimp the food. I don't think it should be used to insult someone, though.

Yes I know what shrimp means when people call you that. It hurts to be called that. If she has a nice personality that's what is important

Physical does not matter. What matter the most is what's inside and the person's desire for others.

You can't give her the confidence she is lacking, she has some mean friends from what it seems.

@sol_cee The ice shrimp we often say generally refers to the Arctic sweet shrimp. This kind of shrimp lives in the deep-sea area near the Arctic. The meat tastes sweet, so it is called sweet shrimp. Arctic sweet shrimps are easy to die and deteriorate after fishing, so they are generally pre boiled and frozen on board. Usually you can freeze it and wash it, but for food safety, it's best to eat it after heating and cooking.

I love shrimp. A few times a month I make a shrimp stir fry loaded with vegetables.
My husband and I will enjoy that dish together. Incidentally, he loves me for my mind and my body so thankfully I don't have any insecurities there.
It's a good thing; otherwise he isn't getting any shrimp. lol

I've never heard of anyone being called shrimp.. but I've heard worse.. I would tell her not to worry about what others say.. If she choose to be affected by them.. it's not your problem..
