10-12 is there are people present - be cautious.
That of course makes me wonder what is said on the radio in other non 10-12 situations that they have to have a 10-12 code!
The weather was perfect yesterday, a bit gray, but no rain!
how was the weather in your world?

The 10 code is used by police when communicating on the radio. 10 followed by another number. In the case of 10-12 it is to remind those listening that there are other people also listening to the conversation.

@DianneN we've got that mix of moutain, ocean and jetstream this time of year that makes gray skies more likely

No 10-12 here. One is the loneliest number….safe number, too, in this pandemic!
And it was “one” great day!

The seven day forecasts here are almost always wrong.
I think the weather patterns have speeded up now with this global warming.
The mornings can be blue skies, without a cloud showing, then the clouds can suddenly roll in from nowhere, and a storm spring up so quickly.
The fronts seem to move across more unpredictably now, sometimes speeding through, sometimes, being held up and standing still, for days on a time.
Yesterday, rain was promised all day, but it was sunny, and fine, and then, come 12 midnight, it rained.
This morning is fine and sunny, but rain is again predicted for late afternoon again. I wonder how late it will come in this time!

@DocAndersen Yes, and I live in Melbourne, known as having four seasons in the one day.
And yet, the inconsistency can be annoying.
The weather bureau won the "Bultish" award for the week, this week, on our local radio breakfast show.
They had promised 20 mm of rain, minor flooding, storms, wild winds, In Melbourne yesterday, and it turned out to be just a pleasant sunny day, no winds, no rain, no storms.

@innertalks the study of weather is a mix of computer, historical trends and guesswork. The issue, of course, is that we've changed the climate, and the models don't work now.
