Nachos!

Pretty and I were talking about foods we'd like to buy if the pandemic ever ends. I mentioned nachos... So we went to the store and bought corn chips and cheese. (We already had browned hamburger in the fridge.) Put the ingredients together and zap it in the microwave. YUM! Would you like to join us for supper? Hamburger nachos. Photo is mine.

Sour cream, yes. Pretty uses it on baked potatoes. Hot sauce, nope. We can't eat it. We've got plenty, come when you can.

Hey Daddy! Glad to see you're still alive and kicking, Can you not get nachos where you are at the moment? My granddaughter loves them and always has them if we eat out.

I was just thinking I needed to send you an email to see how you and your granddaughter are doing! My daughter and I haven't eaten out since the pandemic began. Restaurants don't check their employees and make them work while sick. I have too many health problems for us to take a chance on me catching Covid. (We've both been vaccinated but there are a lot of breakthrough cases around us. We'll just keep making our own food.)

@DaddyEvil I was double jabbed but still managed to get it but it was mild. I felt horrible for a few days though. My granddaughter brought it home from school. It's really bad in our schools so I kind of knew I had a high chance of getting it. I have good health generally so I'm lucky. Glad you've managed to avoid it.

@sprite1950 The schools in my city have mandated everyone in the school must wear masks and those old enough must have the vaccine. (A few parents protested but the school board told them they were welcome to homeschool their kids if they didn't want to follow the new mandate. I didn't see a problem with it.) Getting Covid after being vaccinated is called breakthrough and there are a lot of cases like that here, especially with the Delta variant. At least with vaccinated people the chances are greatly reduced in having lasting damages from the virus.

@DaddyEvil I love the eggs fried in the middle of a toast. I make corn tortillas usually to serve with guacamole, but if I feel lazy the corn chips are fine.

Pretty keeps taking the bag of corn chips away so she can eat them with salsa. I had to wrestle the bag away from her last night so I could make some more nachos for my dinner. I've only had guacamole once. A friend from Chile was staying with us for a month several years ago. She made toast, cut a hole in the middle and fried an egg in the hole and put guacamole on top. It was delicious!

@DaddyEvil spaghetti has always been my favorite meal since I was a 11 yrs old. We used to go to an Italian restaurant to eat every Friday evening for a few yrs there and that started a forever love of it.

@bunnybon7 I normally make a big bowl of spaghetti with meat sauce once a month. It takes us two or three days to eat it all. Usually, Pretty makes garlic bread to go with it.
