Well, I did it. I finally got Windows 10 today. I have some new things I have to get used to and other things I knew already. I do not mind now. I read somewhere that people may be going to Windows 11. I just got 10 and hope I do not have to switch again. I have to get used to this one.

@Marilynda1225 I really wanted to stay with Windows 7 but since I have Windows 10 it may not be so back.

I had to switch a couple of years when we got a new computer. It takes a lot of getting used to.

@Hannihar We had to buy a new computer, ours quite working and the computer place said our system was obsolete and a 10 would work well. But I still get confused with it.

@RubyHawk Maybe when your son comes he can explain things that confuse you about it. My technician said I would probably have lots of questions on the upgrade to 10 from 7.

@RubyHawk Wow, you have been on Windows 10 for two years or 3 now? That is a long time. I only get a new computer when I have to update windows.

I've had Windows 10 for awhile. Not too bad getting used to it. But it can be frustrating when something new pops up just when your used to the program. Now I'm trying to adjust to Windows 11.

@dgobucks226 So will you upgrade to 11 or stay at 10?

@dgobucks226 I have seen where if the computer becomes obsolete it is because you have to upgrade. I have no idea why 11 has come out when I had till the end of the year to upgrade to 10.

@Hannihar I've already upgraded. When it comes to computers eventually an upgrade is called for or your program becomes obsolete.

We always have a time limit and leeway in use of OS even after the newer versions come out in the market. I read that Microsoft might not price Windows 11 too highly so that more people can use it.

@Hannihar Windows 10 will be around for quite some time so you can relax. My guess is that we can relax perhaps for a year or so on this count.

@marlina Did you ask your technician if we have to get 11 by a certain time or just get used to 10? I had other things my technician and I had to deal with so I completely forgot about 11. I will try and remember to ask him. I waited a long time before I got 10 so hopefully I can get used to it and not have to go up again.

@just4him I was not happy to see about 11. I just got 10 and want to get used to it so hopefully will not have to deal with 11 for a long long time. I got something in my e-mail about congratulating you on I think it was 9 years being an author on Linkin. So congrats and I am very proud of you. I hope your writing and books are doing well.

Until now I'm still using Windows 7 and it's still comfortable. But lately I thought to update to the latest windows. Do you think we can update ourselves by looking at tutorials on the internet? Can you share with me how much it costs to use a technician?

Actually I like win XP, but many apps don't support it. Instead I use win 7, lighter for my computer specifications are still low. For Win 10 I don't like it, because it updates often even though we can set it as we wish.

@Hannihar True XP is very old and I've left, Win 10 I've tried but hard for my computer. So I tried Win 7, and like it until now. Most importantly, support with applications that I need / for work.

I have used Windows 10 and so far I have no plan to upgrade it to Windows 11. I know Windows 11 has some great developments, such as it can run Android app. But I wonder whether it will slow down my computer and I will see how it goes.
