There's moments in everybody's life that imprint on your soul.
Like riding your bike . Not so much that except when you broke your arm riding your bike.
Or you rode your bike to meet your first girl/boyfriend! It took the bike to make them happen.
My first imprint wasn't riding a bike. It was of a darker nature unfortunately. I was born in the 70's to a should have been separated couple that were to young to breed !( so it seemed )
So I experienced the whole hating step-father and abused mother household. Without a bike .
Back to those imprints. It was interesting to me as a young child watching others find their souls being stamped right before my eyes.
Maybe the first imprint would be someone you met and liked. Funny how when that happened as a kid. The whole embarrassed kid would deny the liking the other part. Then be mad when they find out everybody already knew..
I do have some things to say.
I am a well versed man now with memories and a past that would haunt nearly everyone. The fact that I am still able to be here is an imprint on my soul today.
Their always wanting me to join them and cast aside this world. I yet to succumb to them. As I believe to do so would be to much an imprint for some to bear.

We should leave the unhappy past behind and move on as we have to manage our own life. We have come to this world alone and have to die alone. Be positive and walk ahead in life.

@aninditasen my condolences with your recent loss. I wish you a healthy and speedy grieving period. As our grieving period is needed when it's someone dear to you. I have been married 26 yrs and counting . I would be a total loss if something was to happen.
You have to understand that she is the reason I was able to move on from my childhood . When I seen her with her 6 sisters and 2 brothers that were affectionate an truly loved one another. Things I never seen before in family. Gave me true hope.. sorry I rambled

I do understand. I wish I had a more sensitive soul. Mine has hardened over the years. No matter the joy I have found there is always the imprint.
Ty for your comment and sharijg

Welcome to myLot. Hope you enjoy your stay here. Now, that's surely something profound there. I guess in anything that we do, we've got to take a leap of faith.

@Rickbmad Yup, you are right. It's best to leave worrying things in the mudroom and take that good leap of faith.

We learn from our experiences, and they help to shape the people that we become. We learn from other people, too.
I hope you enjoy mylot. Welcome.
