Sarah Friedman who is a waitress working at a Red Lobster restaurant in Bridgewater New Jersey on Saturday when someone came into the restaurant asking if anyone knew how to use CPR since one man fell down on the parking lot having trouble breathing from what might have been a heart attack.
Sarah who is currently attending classes at York College of Pennsylvania studying to be a nurse immediately answered the call for help by running outside and giving the stricken man CPR when someone had called 911 to get some help.
A police officer assisted Sarah while she was giving chest compressions to the stricken man by giving the victim oxygen to breathe until an ambulance arrived to give the victim a nasal spray called Narcan to revive the man who may have had an overdose of opioid.
Sarah was able to speak to the man that she saved his life to learn more about of him since her plans are to be a nurse practitioner when she graduates from college in 2023.
Sarah is getting a head start in the art of saving lives since all of the hard work while working at York College is starting to pay off when her first real life test took place in June of this year at the parking lot of the restaurant.
