A Day with Friends on Mylot

Today has been a long day. It’s cold and has rained the last two days. I couldn’t even go to the mailbox without going out in the rain. But I have spent most of the day on Mylot so it’s been interesting reading your articles and making lots of comments. I’ve met a few more friends and it’s filled my day.
Tomorrow If it’s still raining I’ll get back to sorting my pictures. I have a lot of sorting to do and I must get more albums next time I go out. It is time consuming but it will be so nice to have all my picture in a stack of albums. Do you keep your pictures in albums or have you let them pile up as I have.

I've scanned all my photos into my computer and put them onto a DVD and on my phone. (I make copies once in a while and give the copies to different family members who are interested in them. That way, if my house burns down, I've probably still got most of my photographs.) The originals are in shoe boxes in my closet.

@RubyHawk I set up albums on the DVD disks... Every person in my family has a folder on the disk. Every photo that has that person in it goes into their folder. It made it easy to sort and people can go straight to the folder of the person they're looking for to see what photos are there. (It took me a year to scan all the photos mom had collected over her lifetime into the computer, set up the folders and sort everything out.)

I have a lot of negatives from bygone years that I have in tin boxes but all the digital photos I've taken are on offline devices which I access from time to time when I want to share older pictures. Some of my 35mm film was converted to DVDs back in early part of this century so I have those if I want.

I have many photos in storage. One time I decided to buy albums and to organize them. It took three months and they're still only 1/2 done!

It has been a long time since I got a hard copy printout and album of pictures. Most are on laptop, mobile and other storage media.
May be I could plan something in the next few months.
Sorting and arranging can be quite tedious for sure.
Enjoy time on Mylot and the Album sorting activity.

Both. But, I've since given away some, put most in albums and rest we don't know of thrown out, before my Mom passed. Nice to have the year and event & names if what's on the picture too.

That's good you could spend the day here, I guess this was the other day but still.
