I bake for everyone when I have to

Everytime I attend parties or I meet anyone i try to find time to cook and bake for them. I'm pleased when they appreciate the food I cook or bake for them. What disheartens me is that when I start selling, they have so many alibis why they can't buy. When they go straight to the stores. They'd buy everything and anything. But if it is from friends, they'd ask for free taste or ask it as present instead. To think everytime I cook, they always say... Wow... They smell and looks good... WOW, it's so yummy... Wow... It taste better than so and so... No matter what I do to market my products, it always end up in.... May I have some, instead of saying, can I buy some. A lot of prople like asking for free stuffs. I don't mind sharing. I can be so generous. But when I sell, I hope I can get customers /clients buying not just asking for everything for free. How I wish instead of asking only, I hoe they can purchase as well..

We used to do that in cooking fairs before, pre covid time. Those were during my school days, and everyone was doing their bit for charity. We were all together and no one felt left out. The charity went well, people bought food with love and sincerity and we had a good time. Baking is good and it's always nice to care and share. Like the tag cooking with love. Have a nice day, my friend.

I'm sorry that is the response you get from your baked goods. What is the price of your baked goods compared to that in stores? You might consider being more competitive with your prices. Keeping them around the same amount so that the price in the store doesn't entice them to take out their pocketbook and buy from them, but from you. Also, don't give handouts if you are selling them. Keep your free baked goods for parties you attend. Bring a cake or plate of cookies to share with everyone. Let that be the only time you offer free goods. I hope this helps.

i'm not the patronizing type but i do make it a point to buy a friend's baked goods if i need to. also, i don't like to make promises of buying this or that because i do not want to disappoint sellers. i tried selling food when i resigned from work and couldn't afford to be employed yet. i'd cook dishes and snacks and my mom would peddle them in banks and other offices. thankfully, they all sold well until i had to go and move to another place. i still wish i could sell again but all that chopping and marketing wears me off. i'll have to have an assistant.
