A Weird Signage

Whenever I visit a particular mall, I always noticed this signage. It seems like the figure is not appropriate when it comes to letting people be reminded. Do we need to run? Do you find it weird, too?

Now I see the photo. They usually put up signs like that and it of course does not mean you have to run it means you have to go down the stairs to get out I think because the arrow points down

This is used for "emergency exists" and YES, you need to go fast, not run because it is dangerous.

@Shavkat In case of evacuation the authorities always recommend to walk fast and never run.

It is necessary if something is going on in the building.

@Shavkat When there is an electric spark, of course, people can't be calm and that happened a few years ago.

Ideally, we need to calm down. I could also say that it depends on what the situation is.

Our exit signs are typically white with glowing red letters. Placed over fire exits, mostly. It's to let people know that it's where to go in the event of an emergency. You might see them over normal doors, too depending on the layout of the building and if there are multible ways in and out.

I think it is much better than this. I guess they need to make it clearer when it comes to the image part.

that is fairly typical for the universal exit sign. but it does look like the person is running away!

I think that's the standard Exit sign. The figure only suggests movement.

It might be very appropriate in these times. In America its very appropriate. You should tell them I think you are confused this is not America send it to them.

If there is a fire or other emergency then I guess you need to run. That's how I see it.
