The sign on the T-shirt looked like this: Do What You Want I misread it as: What Do You Want A line in recent celebrity news was: ... towards healing this family issue in private. I misread it as: ... family private issue. Even something as simple as WFH, I misread as WTF!

I am dyslexic and impatient so all the time. Nice someone speaking my language for a change.

I'm not sure it's up to the level of dyslexia because I've always liked reading and don't really remember this quirk before/most of my life. It seems to have started happening now that I'm much, much older. So what's it like being dyslexic?

@merrybelle2021 Backwards .I do not even notice I mean I am prepared and taught now but still happens every now in then. Teachers and sister and one one time next door neighbor would laugh at way I would write. Especially when tried to sound smart like teachers always want. To me its like literally comprehending the reverse of what things actually mean or supposed to be.

@crossbones27 If by backwards or reverse you mean to read or write from right to left, I don't remember doing so.

Well there is a condition called dyslexia maybe you have it? Or sometimes our brain is just trained to read certain things and does it on autopilot.

@merrybelle2021 Oh so it's a recent occurrence for you. Maybe you're fatigued or overworked?

@flapiz Maybe. But I've had my eyes checked and have ordered new glasses so maybe it will resolve.

I do know about dyslexia, but I've always loved reading and never had this quirk before. I know others transpose number. A college classmate talked about standing in front of the wrong house. Something like 96, but she went to 69.

If I do skimming that fast, I usually misinterpret things up.

I just ordered new glasses based on my new prescription. We'll see if it helps.
