Your nasi lemak looks really good. Moreover, the nasi lemak is slightly greenish in color. The arrangement of the nasi lemak menu is very creative and beautiful. So tempting to eat.

I remember the first time I ate Nasi Lemak when I was on a flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Kuala Lumpur. On the Air Asia plane, I saw a picture of Nasi Lemak in the menu book that is behind the passenger seat. This rice is so delicious, and I'm addicted to it. Since then, I often order nasi lemak as a lunch or dinner menu.

Nasi lemak is tasty with eggs (which are boiled, Fried by cow eyes, or scrambled), cucumber slices, Fried fish or anchovies, and chili peppers. But now nasi lemak is sold in various pauses such as tempepe, tofu, petai, peanuts, Fried peanuts, peanuts, chicken, cuttlefish, squid, shrimps, shells, fish, spleen, and even cow liver, which are also often accompanied by coconut gratings.

Absolutely agree with you But I never find nasi lemak with cow liver or squid here. I find nasi/normal rice with cow liver, petai, squid which is called nasi padang or nasi ambeng. It has influence from Java ethnic (Indonesia).

Nasi lemak can be called as nasi uduk here because the ingredients are the same, only the side dishes can be chosen.

Nasi lemak is similar but slightly different with nasi uduk. Nasi uduk is more aromatic than nasi lemak. Yeah for side dishes can be chosen but the sambal for nasi uduk is quite different with sambal for nasi lemak. Sambal for nasi uduk mostly use some tomato or a bit or use belacan/terasi/shrimp paste. I miss eat nasi uduk nasi uduk is more delicious when eat at night..don’t you think so?

@NFS0306 Yes, in general, besides using coconut milk, Nasi Uduk also uses pandan leaves to create a very tempting taste and aroma, for sambal, it seems like we use chili and peanuts, each region has a special sambal here.

@May2k8 yes, you're right. Nasi Uduk has more aromatic than Nasi Lemak. Different region, different type of sambal. Most seller in West Java use tomato spicy sambal for their nasi uduk.

Rice is our staple food. We have so many variety of rice. It's a well-milled, white, purple, brown. We have also sticky rice. We don't have Lemak rice. What is it? Why is it called Lemak?
