I wasn't here yesterday.
My morning started with a phone call from my son and I could tell by his voice that something was terribly wrong. He could barely talk.
Seems that he's had my daughter in law in and out of the hospital for days for excruciating pain that started with her kidneys. Thankfully all her tests came back ok except for one....Covid!
Why didn't they do a Covid test first? beats me
To make a long story short please pray for my daughter in law. She's the light of our family and the mother of 4 boys and of course the love of my sons life.
My son and the boys will have to have Covid tests this weekend (the doctor said to wait a few days).
What a mess.
My daughter in law is barely able to walk and now my son and the boys have to quarantine away from her. I don't know how that's going to work but I'm praying hard that my daughter in law recovers and that my son and the boys don't get it.
Life has really thrown a curve ball this time.

@Marilynda1225 Don't let her or your son and the kids get down. It must be so hard on them.

@Juliaacv my son is so upset he can barely talk. I offer as many words of encouragement as I can and praying he and the boys stay well. You know as well as I do when the mom is sick the house falls apart. Since they have to quarantine no one can even go and help out.

How awful to hear that.I hope that she recovers quickly. Sadly my daughter went through that over Christmas she had three little ones. She refused to go into hospital. We cooked meals for them left them in our porch & her husband came to collect them. It is a horrible & worrying time. She got better after about 4 weeks but looked dreadfully ill.
My thoughts & prayers are with you all for a speedy recovery.

I'm sorry to hear about your daughter and hope she's doing better. I've heard so many stories about how long it takes to recover. Did her husband or any of the kids get it?

@garymarsh6 I'm happy that your daughter is okay now as well as her husband.. I have no intention of going near my son and family as much as I'd like to. I don't want to put myself at risk bit its hard not to want to help them.

@Marilynda1225 yes he got it but only mildly. The kids were bouncing around as boisterous as ever. She is fine now once she got over it. No residual symptoms thankfully but you must keep clear of them for a while! Look after yourself!

I hope that she will be okay. Was she vaccinated? Seems that those who get it and have been vaccinated get a lesser case of it. My son and his wife were ill from it, spent most of the time in bed too. But, they recovered fast.

@Marilynda1225 my daughter wasn't vaccinated either. She was given antibodies and thankful for that. It could have been much worse. She has to wait for 3 months to get the vaccine now.

@Marilynda1225 I cannot believe they did not test here at the emergency room.
They test everyone who goes there even if healthy, to protect the other patients, just in case.

I thought the first test they did here too was for covid. It's mind boggling that she was in the emergency room numerous times within a few days and they never tested until yesterday.

Thanks for your prayers Snowy. NOPE she wasn't vaccinated and neither is my son or the boys. Hopefully she recovers and this is a wakeup for them and they get vaccinated.

I'm so sorry for you. I will absolutely keep you and your family in my prayers. I feel so bad for her kids having to be away from her. This COVID thing is so frustrating even with vaccines there still are a lot of people getting it. My best friends husband was off work for the last 2 weeks cuz he had it too.
I truly hope she gets better soon.

Them not testing her first doesn't make sense to me. But i hope she recovers fast and no one gets it.
How far away do they live from you? Maybe you can make them a food basket of treats or bring them meals and or groceries?
