November 7 - What I'm Thankful for Today

This is the day the LORD has made and I WILL be GLAD and REJOICE in it. Today has been a so-so day.
I'm thankful I got to church this morning with only making one wrong turn getting there. We had a full house, literally, since we meet in a home. It's a house church. The service was great with wonderful interaction. I think I had as much input as our leader. He's not a pastor yet, but he's working on it as he's taking college courses.
I'm thankful for the Christmas card I found from @Courtney in my mailbox when I got home from church this morning. That made my day. Thank you. I'll be sending out cards this week.
I'm thankful for the 2828 words I did today on Wilderness Challenge. I got most of them before the game between the Packers and Kansas City Chiefs. We lost. No surprise, Aaron Rodgers didn't play. I finished up the last of my word count for today after the game. I wanted to get well over 2000 since I put in a minimum yesterday.
I'm still feeling off with the bad turnout yesterday for the housewarming. I ate way too much. I'm not even going to tell you what my weight was this morning. It's shameful and with what I ate today, yesterday's leftovers, I'll be surprised if it's not bad again tomorrow. It looks like I'm eating fruit for the rest of the week. And drinking lots of water.
I mentioned the housewarming to the leader this morning and he didn't know about it because he's never on FB so didn't see the message. That made me feel somewhat better that he didn't blow me off. He assured me I'm family and he would never have done that if he knew about it. Add in today's very bad ballgame and I'm just not feeling it. At least I can put a silver lining on today with the Christmas card, and the work I did on Wilderness Call and church this morning.
That's my day. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. There's always something to be thankful for.

You are receiving and sending Christmas cards already??? Wow, that is the earliest I have ever heard of. But once I send Christmas cards out, I feel more relaxed, so maybe that's not a bad idea to send them out early. I am thankful for a restful day today and nice walk with my friend and our dogs.

The mail is so slow. A letter sent from a block away took a week to get to me. Some Christmas cards I sent last year didn't arrive until February. Sending them out now makes sense to me. Hopefully, they'll arrive before Christmas for the ones I send internationally.

I don't send out Christmas cards but it's better to mail them early if you do. Last year I received two... one from my sister and one from @cintol here on myLot. Both of them mailed the cards in November and I received them in February... I was shocked it took that long to receive them...
When I sent a text to Cindy, thanking her for the card, she was surprised it took that long to reach me... My sister just laughed and told me she had gotten one from another member of our family that day, too. *shrug*

@just4him I think mail is back on schedule for the most part now... but you never know what will happen around Christmas time.

@DaddyEvil True. I don't know about that. We have a mail processing place here. It shouldn't take a week to go one block.

@LadyDuck I hope so too. Thank you. I know I'll snap out of this sooner or later. It affected my writing on Saturday. I needed to pull words to make the minimum word count for NaNoWriMo. Yesterday, I made up for it and only stopped writing because it was time to go to bed. Hopefully, I'll have another good writing day today. That should help pull me out of this funk.

I'm glad you're pleased with the results. That's important.
Thank you. It was wonderful to receive the card. I need to stop and get stamps when I go to therapy this morning.

I'm so very sorry that only one showed up for your house warming. It's disappointing.
Sorry that the Packer's lost. Congratulations on getting more work completed on Wilderness Challenge.
I'm thankful for revival services which began yesterday morning. Looking forward to the rest of the week's messages and being challenged and hopefully growing more like Him.

Thank you. It was disappointing. I was surprised Aaron Rodgers didn't play. I heard a little about what happened during the service yesterday, but I still expected him to play. The world is paranoid about this virus.
I'm glad you're having revival services. Growing more like Him is what I want too.

Sorry to hear about the bad turnout for your housewarming, and the scale not being kind. That's great about the Christmas card, I never know when is a good time to start sending them out.

Sorry, there wasn't a good turn out for the housewarming. I have had parties too where few showed. It is very disappointing. It sounds like maybe some didn't know about it. It's over at least. There's always tomorrow in terms of taking off weight.

I'm putting it in the mail this week. Hopefully today. Thank you so much. It really made my day so much better.
Thank you. I'm not normally a stress eater or any kind of mood eater, but yesterday, I simply didn't care how much I ate. It was all leftovers from the party. I still have a full tray of vegetables. I need to cook those up as I can't chew hard veggies without teeth. My dentures are useless.

No need to be ashamed, you are God's beautiful daughter:) Jay watched Aaron's team play, he was disappointed the Pack didn't win. It's lovely here, just a little cooler.

The defense played well. It was the offense that was horrible.
The therapist was happy with me today. I've lost more than an inch on both legs. I need this to reflect on the scale, but with the way I ate yesterday, that won't happen.

Everyday whether we like it or not to be glad is a routine that we should and must manifest it by our facial expression which our heart conforms it.

I agree with you. No matter how bad a day I've had, I can always find at least one thing to be thankful for.
