Seriously, I Hate Nursery Rhymes Songs

For young learner students online, it is inevitable for me to sing nursery rhymes songs with them. It is how we start the classes online before bombarding them with proper lessons. I really hate doing it. Here is the list of nursery rhymes: ABC Song; Alphabet Song; One Bottle O' Pop; Did You Ever See a Lassie?; Two Little Blackbirds; Baa Baa Black Sheep; Bingo (B-I-N-G-O); Days of the Week; Five Little Ducks; Five Little Monkeys; Hickety Pickety; Hickory Dickory Dock; Hokey Pokey; Humpty Dumpty; etc. Do you like singing nursery rhymes songs with kiddies? Which one do you like best? Image Credit: thumbs.gfycat.com

I agree. I must admit that I am a good performer to these kids despite not liking to sing these songs. I would be lucky if they do not want to sing and skip them instead.

I wish I could choose what nursery rhymes songs to sing with the kids online. I used to sing them with my little niece before. Now, I am excited to do it again with our baby twins at home.

Children's songs are good when sung with them and can educate them at the same time. Now many children are still small but have been singing adult songs it is not wrong but it is better to sing children's songs for a small child. BINGO looks good.

At some point, young learners need to learn them. I do agree with the matter of educating them.

I am sure you did with all your kiddies before especially Pretty. I find it really corny to sing them. Our little miss sometimes hears me singing and laughing about it, too.

I sometimes negotiate with them. I am sure some of them do not want to sing them. If I can feel that they do not want to, we can just skip and move directly to their lessons per se. It's a win-win situation for both parties.

Many nursery rhymes have very dark pasts and violent origins based on history. Humpty Dumpty was an English cannon during the English civil war, Jack be nimble was a pirate and jumping on candle sticks was a pagan practice, three blind mice was about the 3 martyred Angelican Bishops burnt at the stake by Mary i ( bloody Mary) for refusing to renounce their protestant faith the list goes on and on. I like them because it reminds me of childhood but I'm not so sure now. There's something quite eerie with nursery rhymes what do you think?

These are very interesting facts about some of these nursery rhymes songs. Honestly, I do not like singing them. It would be a lucky day if these students online do not want to sing them, too. What would be the next thing to do is to skip them and smile afterward.

Sometimes I skip these songs even if they are part of my job. Actually, it is not because I am working with them as a virtual teacher and not a singer.

I would love to sing some of them with our twin baby girls here. They are starting to watch Baby TV and love watching them. It is how their big sister learned the English language.
