Two of my sisters visited me yesterday’s and although we talk on the phone often we had a good catching up day. Discussing kids, grandkids and other family members. Talking about climbing to the top of the mountain when we were kids.
I walked out to meet them and as they came in one sister looked down at the ground and said “ Mamas visiting with us today” then she leaned over and scooped up a bunch of pennies. And maybe she was right. Mama might have been visiting with us,

It was nice that you could spend time together.
For some reason, this reminded me of a family visit at my grandmother's house years ago when a couple of older relatives stopped by. I was such a young child at the time that I cannot even remember what the relationship was between my grandmother and the two women--first cousins, perhaps. I don't know why that popped into my head just now.

@RubyHawk I wish that I could remember more details. I think that I need to do the genealogy for my mother's side in earnest just so I can answer some questions for myself. So much information has been lost because all of those older family members are gone.
I wish that I would have gathered the stories of my older family members when I was younger. Now, all that is left are half-truths and outright lies. Really, I had one person tell an outright lie and then try to cast doubt on my credibility when I corrected it!
At this point, I have a few relatives that I want to stay in touch with. Most, however... Well, not so much.

@wilsongoddard I’ve never studied genealogy. All I know is what I’ve heard through the family and some of us disagree on that.

@RasmaSandra It hasn’t been that long ago for me but I think I’ll alway feel the same. My son passed away a little over a year ago. I’ll never get over that either. But we travel on.

Your mom's picture made me remember my mom, I have kept a voice conversation of us both the last we had spoken to each other on the phone. She was calling me over for dinner, it will be two years now she is gone but she is still there every moment. Being with your siblings and enjoying childhood memories is a really heartwarming moment, I am sure you must have had a time of life with them. When we are in the moment we don't realise that this moment is going to be tomorrow's beautiful memories to cherish
