Oh, boy I knew my sister in law was going to be like this. She messaged me yesterday asking me which sides I was making for Thanksgiving. I told her mashed sweet potatoes, 3-4 whole sweet potatoes and corn. She went into saying that she asked my mom if she wanted her to make potatoes. My mom didn’t say anything because she didn’t want or need them. That if someone really wants any she would make something instant. Well my sister in law doesn’t like them. She went on and one how she doesn’t want to be limited to her stuffing because she eats they instant stop top stuff (yuck), her Mac and cheese, and rolls. That she doesn’t even like Turkey.
Well I wanted to snap back and tell her make her stuff but the day before so she is out of the way of the Turkey. But I know if I said that or did that she would go and have some type of a tantrum like a 2 year old. So I pretty much left the conversation with her saying she doesn’t want just those sides she is always difficult when to comes to dinner.

Whoever is having the dinner at their house should arrange everything.

It’s my parents house. She lives with them so it’s whatever my parents want they wanted sweet potatoes which I’m making because my dad had surgery in July and can’t lift haven’t stuff. I had offered for weeks to cook most of not all of the food if my mom picked up most of the stuff. My sister-in-law hasn’t offered anything. She asked about potatoes my mom didn’t have it planned into the meal. So my sister-in-law is a big girl if she wants them she can make themselves vs bugging me about them. I told her my list of Thanksgiving stuff I’m doing. Getting breakfast for everyone, plus making dessert for everyone, making the sweet potatoes, that is 3 different kids of sweet potatoes and the corn.

Exactly. I just make what I'm asked, and when Im hosting I ask people what they want to make, and I usually go from there. No biggie, it doesn't have to be hard.

@riverbetty108 at my parents house they typically make everything but I tend to make some things each year because I know what they like and want and I also I can make sure my littlest had his food because he is gluten free and my parents for get that even thought wheat is a plant it’s one my 6 year old can not eat. So for him I ask him what he wants and I either bring it already made or make there when my parents are done. Normally it’s like make and cheese.
