Traveling cats

Ours are traveling cats. The girl has traveled since she was a kitten (and is now an *ahem* "experienced" kitten), and the boy has now managed three trips to his credit.
This morning, I was thinking about cats who travel. The thought took route during a rather weird dream and continued as I awoke (for a second time this morning, since I was originally awake at 3). I started thinking about two of my favorite fictional kitties with a taste for travel--Koko and Yum Yum of The Cat Who... book series. Not only did they travel, but Koko would even lend a paw in solving mysteries!
I don't think that either of our cats is inclined toward a career as a detective, though. In fact, I fear that our boy would be more inclined to chew on the evidence.
Have you read The Cat Who... series? Who are some of your favorite fictional felines?

Yes, I've read those. They're pretty good books.
Terry Pratchett's "The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents" was really funny.

I haven't read that, but I know a couple of tabbies who would approve of that title.

@DaddyEvil Strangely, I've never sat down with his stuff. However, I have started watching Good Omens, which was adapted from the novel he co-wrote with Neil Gaiman (whom I have read).

@wilsongoddard Terry Pratchett wrote some amazingly good books. I've enjoyed them all several times.

@wilsongoddard Even though the Garfield movies were designed for kids, I watched and loved them

I read some of those books, and I think my mom has read the whole series. I used to have a cat who liked to travel. You have to start them when they are young.

Our boy is technically a young adult, but he still has kitten brain. Hopefully, he is still young enough to be flexible enough in terms of stuff like this that he develops a real taste for travel.

A reporter and his two cats who tend to find murder mysteries. They are cozy mysteries; unlike many cozies, though, the amateur sleuth is male.

That is as it should be.
My late boy was rather fond of poetry. He liked it when I read poems to him. He was quite the kitty.

@RubyHawk I haven't read that one yet; I am about halfway through the series.
I've started buying the books, because I decided that I actually want to have them in my permanent collection rather than merely borrowing them from the library. There are a few other series (i.e., Cadfael) that I want to add as well.
