Can your cats track you without seeing you?

A new study reveal that cats care about their owner wherabout and keep track of their movement even when they are out of their sight using their " SOCIO-SPATIAL COGNITION".
Cats have ability to generate mental maps, that tells them where their owner is, based on the origin of sound.
I request the cat owners of myLotter ,to share their experiences regarding this ability of cats.

Cats can sense where we are from quite a distance away. But, while Henry knows that I am outside of the apartment, he does not always know that I have not left the building.
Once, I spent two hours down in the community room having coffee with friends during a thunderstorm, and when I came back upstairs, Henry read me the riot act (meowed like crazy at me) for being outside in that storm.
Then, the other day, he heard me angrily yell at someone down in the same room, and when I came back upstairs and opened my door, Henry was right there, meowing as if to say, "Who were you just yelling at? Do you want me to go beat them up for you?"
