The kind of books I buy.

So my fever refuses to go down and my eyes still hurting from the screens all day, I decided to read a book. Usually I read on my phone, I prefer to read on epub readers, they're so practical. But as I'm avoiding screens I opted for a book. Usually I buy books after reading them because I'd hate ending up with books I don't actually like. So I only buy books I already read and liked. But sometimes I buy books I didn't read if they're classics, or written by someone I already like, or seem interesting and coast almost nothing. So most of books I own I already read, but fortunately I found one that I haven't read yet. What kind of books do you like ? Do you own a lot ?

@Babino that is also the reason why I sell most of them, I donated some and gave away some. I cannot bring them with me when I got married and then now, I do not have a lot of spaces to put them

That's awesome, I'd sell my old books too if I had the chance, the less stuff I have the better.

Ok dear. I buy books that are classic generally. Unlike you I don't read book before buying it. I just read the summary

That's great, yeah the summary can already tell a lot about the book.

I have five bookcases full of books. Three tall and two short. I love to read. I'm also an author, so I love to write books too.

I own a lot of books, classics, novels! Mystery, comedy.. Some I have read and some I haven’t. I don’t like ebooks. I like a book with pages to turn.

I don't keep books. I read them and then I give them to somebody else to enjoy.

That is awesome. Books can be really great companions during our free time. So how many books do you have in your collection so far?

@Babino Wow, those are indeed awesome books. I read varieties ranging from Danielle Steele to James Patterson. I like the writing style of John Grisham though I don't like some of his books. For romance, it has always been Jude Deveraux or Julie Garwood for me. These are really great authors in my opinion and they are certainly evergreen.

I don't have a collection as I live temporary in a small apartment with a roommate, and I usually read in my phone. But I do have Romeo and Juliet - Shakespear, Le Horla - Guy de Maupassant, The stranger -Albert Camus. Those I couldn't resist getting em. There are a lot of others I'd like to get but my current situation doesn't allow it. What about you?

I usually only buy them at thrift stores or only new if I really like the author. Right now I am reading a book I got for free - Hidden Prey by John Sandford. It's arlight! But glad I didn't pay for it.

I have totes and totes of books stored in the garage here... I love to read but we moved into a house that doesn't have room for my book collection. So they are stored and I've switched to reading ebooks. I have a Kindle but most of the time I read on the Kindle app on my phone. If you're interested, I can give you a site for free ebooks. The site is b-ok.cc You can download five free ebooks within 24 hours or, you can give them your email address and download ten free ebooks within 24 hours. I've downloaded over 300 ebooks from that site in the last two years and have read them all... I like Sci-Fi/Fantasy books the most but will read anything except biographies or auto-biographies. (I'm just not interested in reading lies someone makes up about themselves or others. *shrug*)
