Good News: Merck Pills Anti-Covid 19

I am not sure if this piece of news is legit or not. Although it is coming from a legit local news station in the Philippines. It was claimed that Merck pills are proven effective against this killer virus. I am hopeful that it can than having vaccine boosters. Any latest news related to this Covid 19?

I think this will only be used for treatment when a person is infected with covid. Otherwise, people still needs vaccination

@Shavkat I am not sure it will be taken as supplements. It is more of a treatment medicine. We still needs vitamins and minerals for supplements

I hope that someday we will treat Covid like the simple flu that we can survive by just taking pills when we have it. I am hopeful that we will beat it someday and survive it once more like any other pandemics that happened to us historically.

@Shavkat It is much more convenient if we can just buy them over the counter like cold medicines or flu meds are. I think there will come a time when this virus will just be like the common virus that we have.

It is not new, it is already used to treat people who have Covid. This DOES NOT prevent Covid. Latest news about Covid? Sure the new South African mutation, the vaccine seems not to stop it.
