Interesting the liturgy today.
First we hear from Isaiah a message of hope as he pronounced:
"On this mountain the Lord of hosts
will provide for all peoples
A feast of rich food and choice wines,
juicy, rich food and pure, choice wines.
On this mountain he will destroy
the veil that veils all peoples,
The web that is woven over all nations;
he will destroy death forever.
The Lord God will wipe away
the tears from all faces."
That hope has been validated in David's canticle:
"You spread the table before me
in the sight of my foes;
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows."
Then, the Gospel graphically reaffirms that hope when our Lord literally performed miracle after miracle:
"Great crowds came to him,
having with them the lame, the blind, the deformed, the mute,
and many others.
They placed them at his feet, and he cured them.
The crowds were amazed when they saw the mute speaking,
the deformed made whole,
the lame walking,
and the blind able to see,
and they glorified the God of Israel."
It does not end there because our Lord proclaimed:
" “My heart is moved with pity for the crowd,
for they have been with me now for three days
and have nothing to eat.
I do not want to send them away hungry."
And our Lord performed a most amazing miracle by multiplying the loaves of bread and fish.
Our Lord has set the example. In today's world when misery besets many, miracles must happen.
Thus we have to gather our resources and be the benevolent one. Let us continue the multiplication of loaves and fish. Let us be the benevolent one, like our Lord.

In am homily I heard, people in dire need of food has a peculiar resolve for fighting hunger. For example, if a family has only one cup of rice left, it is automatic not to steam the rice any longer but boil the rice with more water, add salt, and produce porridge. This way, no one has to go hungry. It is called stretching the porridge.
Always remember, especially this coming Christmas, that we have to give not what we can spare but share the last resource that we can. That is the only way to ensure that our well will not run dry. Give as if it is your last.

@eileenleyva I hope that these people will be uplifted for being in this situation. I am not that rich as compared to greedy people but I can help if I can.

Thank you.
There is enough food and supplies for all the inhabitants of the earth. The problem is, the 'haves' has made a monopoly of the commodities. It is imperative that we call their attention so others may live.
There are rich among my circle of friends but they are oblivious to the plight of others.
Our good God bless you more.
