After a night of rain, this morning the weather was very sunny with a temperature of 25C.
I took a photo of this plant before leaving for work. In my area it is called 'Putri Malu'. If you touch the leaves, the leaves and stems will move to close.
This is unique, like they has nerves so that they can respond to external actions.
what is the name of this plant in your place?

It's called " Makahiya" in the Philippines, it's 2 words maka means for and hiya means shy or ashamed. People say it's shy or ashamed that's why it closes. Mimosa pudica is also called shame plant in English or touch me not.

We call that plant a "touch-me-not". It folds its leaves together when the leaves or stem are touched and opens back up if left alone.

@Faster16 You're very welcome. We used to "tease" the plants when I was a kid living on a farm. They grew all over and my brothers and I would walk through them, touching them to make them close.

I'd have to say probably the same. America adopts names from other walks of life for some things.

I always thought that was quite common or more common than people think. Especially in environments where plants are the primary food for insects and animals. Maybe I am wrong. here plants are tanks and all have thorns and have gotten worse with the drought.

@Faster16 Used too, only cacti grow now and these desert shrubs that spread nothing but thorns. I miss plants that are not so deadly looking.
