I'm going nuts!

One thing I like in this pandemia is the way things come to me when once I did have to travel through the rural roads and highways, stop over by the roadside, and avail of local products in bamboo makeshift kiosks.
Oh well, the CoViD generation seem to offer a new way of life.
Now, a delivery contraption, not a rickety cart but something like a scooter with a plastic umbrella, halt right in front of my gate, the delivery man shouting loud my daughter's name, to our shame because the silence in the neighborhood was broken, my doggies barking and growling, and my raggedy self, hair in a top bun, rushing out like crazy to receive the box.
Oh, I'm going nuts!
Nah! It's just that the nuts have arrived!
The sender, I discovered, lives in Bengued, a province in Northern Philippines, hails the nuts - cashew and peanuts - from Dagupan, Pangasinan, right at the central plain of the island, and markets the finished roasted products in Baguio, the city of pines or the summer capital of the country, again in the north.
That means the nuts traveled in a roundabout way before finally arriving in my home. I live in Metro Manila
Yay!
Me happy.
Nuts, anyone?

My favorite is cashew nuts, I can eat a lot but I think it is not good in your stomach if you ate too much of it. As for peanuts they are my regular fave snack back then when cholesterol was not that high yet. Nowadays I can eat occasionally but not regularly.

I posted a picture on fb. Right away, friends warned me of uric acid level. Never had a condition about that but I'd take the advice seriously. Am also getting to that condition when the body needs extra care.
Thank you for the advice.

@eileenleyva Although they say it is food for the brain but it's true about uric acid and at times can trigger your cholesterol to rise up.

@rsa101 I stopped munching right away. Will take another round next week.
You know what, I am so glad for all the warning. Shows how people care, whether they be real or virtual friends. So, thank you very much. I feel better just knowing people care.

Yup, I munch as many cashew nuts without feeling guilty.
Grateful to the delivery people who brought the nuts to me as quickly as they can. The order was placed just the other day.

Of course! You can have two - both the cashew and the peanuts.

Yup, nuts are brain food. Source of energy also. Best for nibbling. Shoo the junk food away!
Thanks for the new words.
