Question: "How did writing become easier?"

After the invention of modern gadgets, some people stopped making so many handwritten notes. For my niece, I am encouraging her to practice handwriting with the use of cursive in English. She can do it but prefer to write in printing style.
Do you think the pen will disappear in the future?
Do you handwrite in printing or cursive?

Though gadgets are current trend, writing by hand and using the pen and paper will always be a personal thing. I still write in notebooks.

I don't believe it's because of the pandemic, many schools require children to write in longhand which requires a pencil or pen and I believe that will not change. Computers do change and way too often at that which makes me wonder when we will run out of ideas to improve the existing tech.

I stopped using cursive as soon as I graduated from High School. I've printed everything I've written since then. (People complain about my printing, too. My writing and printing are the same size as an old typewriter writes. At least what I print is neat and legible. I don't care if people complain the size strains their eyesight.)
