I should think of something controversial to post

I need to think of something that will have us up in arms. Something that will outrage everyone that reads it.
But I can't.
I keep posting the same old things. . . what I ate, what goes on at work, what appointments we have.
Maybe I will do something exciting this weekend.
Good morning. I am ready to go to work. I will be doing some professional development online today.
That is about all.

I rarely bother with controversial topics. Everyday lives and topics are fine with me.

That’s okay. I keep posting the same old thing (songs that I love that nobody else has ever heard of ), too.
I like the mundane. You never appreciate it until some traumatic event disrupts it, then you long for the “mundane.” My mom’s brain aneurysm happened on Thanksgiving, so after that I really grew to appreciate BORING holidays.

My mom passed away three days before Thanksgiving (in 2002). It's hard to go through Thanksgiving without thinking about that.

I get no joy out of offending people, that is for sure.

Well if you really want something controversial there are so many now that you can talk about. Seems everyone gets their little feelings hurt over everything. Try anything political, religious, or racial. I'm sure all of those will get people heated up in a hurry.

Oh, I know. I do not feel smart enough to write about any of those things. Somehow not being smart does not stop others, though.

You know what? Keep posting mundane stuff because it may be boring to you but may not be so to others. I love to read about mylotters' daily activities and stuff. It's just regularly good to be able to do so.

Actually other people's mundane stuff may encourage us to do something different.

@gardengerty You could deputise for me tonight when I'm to visit my father in hospital. You'll get to sit amidst a ward full of elderly gents flatulating like rapid gunfire quite unashamedly. Is that exciting enough?

Yet sometimes we get inspired or enlightened. It does not change my politics, nor my religious beliefs to be here, but it does change my perspective on my own day to day living.

I always told my kids if they were bored they had not furnished their minds properly. And like you, it seems if I think of something awful, it is just likely to happen.

@JudyEv My kids grew up with a love of books and creative activities. I should have had them do more chores as well, but I did not.

@GardenGerty You saying that to your kids reminds me of my mother. If I ever said I had nothing to do, she would send me off to sweep the verandah!

I like the posts you do. I hate controversial posts cause of how people get so rude.. i like when people are just relaxed and get along instead.

More like going out for coffee or sitting down for a snack, right? Just cozy.

I mostly just stay home or go to work, so not a lot of funny or dramatic in my life either.

Here's something controversial for you: Southern sweet tea is better than northern tea any day. Change my mind.

The only thing I like sweet is soda or lemonade. I will not come to blows over it, though. My southern grandma did not make sweet tea, but she made strong tea that was almost ruby red in the sunlight. I was a sweetened tea girl at that time and it was fun to stir the sugar in to her big goblet style glasses and watch the crystals swirl around the ice.

@GardenGerty I remember my grandmother making tea the same way. My brother and I loved stirring in the sugar!

I read a lot here and I always learn something from both ordinary and controversial/uncomfortable posts - either from the poster or the commenters. Some are useful, some food for thought.
