December 3 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today started out rough. I gave myself food poisoning last night when I finished the turkey and dressing from Thanksgiving. I didn't make it to the pool this morning or leave the apartment until around noon when I started feeling better.
I'm thankful for the exercise I did get. My energy was low this morning but still managed to get over 9000 steps so far today. I plan on getting the rest before I go to bed.
I'm thankful I'm feeling better. I called my friend whose book I'm helping with and told her I was ready to get to work. I just got home. We finished the initial work for the book. She took me to lunch when I finally got hungry. It was a needed break from the book. She came to pick me up since we knew it would be dark when we finished today. I told her to give me a week. She gave me the thumb drive with the book on it so I could go over it and make certain everything was ready before we start the publishing process.
I'm thankful I was here for a little while today and got some notifications done and visited with a few of you. I plan to be home tomorrow and will be here as much as I can to catch up with my notifications.
Okay, that was my day. I just popped in to let you know I'm still around and haven't forgotten the thankful post. As I've been at a computer all day, I need to get my feet up and I also need to do my exercises for the lymphedema.
What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. It's a Christmas picture from a couple of years ago.

@just4him You're welcome.
I accidentally gave myself food poisoning around ten years ago. I'd cooked noodles for our supper but forgot to put the leftovers into the fridge for several hours. I got hungry in the middle of the night and went and got some of them. They smelled okay so took a bite. Pretty walked in as I swallowed... She told me they didn't smell good to her and to spit out everything I could. I was sick for three days after that.

I have had food poisoning twice and it's terrible! I hope you're doing a lot better tomorrow:) And you are able to hold food down again.

I hope that the turkey and dressing has worked itself out of your system.
As much as I love those leftovers, my hubby is very strict about anything not eaten within 48 hours of the actual cooking, that it must go into the garbage for the very reason of food poisoning.
You had a busy and productive day.
I am most thankful for interactions here on the site, and for video call with my manager at work.
He went over the results of my annual review, which resulted in a raise and a bonus.
Raises in today's day and age are almost unheard of, I am thankful that my company recognizes and rewards hard work.
I forwarded the email with the breakdown of it to my son, and he was over the moon happy for me. That felt great.

@just4him You get reminded of that when you hear of someone dying suddenly. My friend lost her husband unexpectedly yesterday. Except for being a little overweight he seemed healthy. But still had a major heart attack.

It's good you did your walking exercise for 9,000 steps. Today I made 15,549 steps for morning and afternoon combined.

@Courtlynn Yes, she took me to lunch as I was helping her with her book. That's not when I got the food poisoning. It was after I got home and had supper finishing off the turkey and dressing from Thanksgiving. At that point, I didn't go anywhere. I hope that clears up the confusion.
