There is a big child abuse case in the UK at the moment. A little boy called Arthur aged 6 years old was subjected to the most terrible injuries and other forms of torture by his stepmother and biological father.
They hurt him, poisoned him with salt food, made him stand in one place for 14 hours at a time and he slept on the floor. In the end the stepmother killed him and tried to make out he had fallen and hit his head. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead and the salt levels in his blood could not be registered on the hospital equipment.
How could anyone do this to a little boy? Thankfully both the stepmother and the father got life sentences. The stepmother is being given a hard time by the other prisoners as they see child abuse as the worst crime possible.

He suffered terribly. I think it would break the heart of anyone who has children. Parents are supposed to protect their children.

@Shavkat The step mum got 29 years and the father got 21 years. Many people are calling for them never to be released.

It seems to be the same in many prisons throughout the world....the prisoners don't take kindly to anyone who hurts children. It's the same way here in the US.

It's like they feel that what they are in there for is less serious than child abuse, and it probably is. However these people do deserve the very worst conditions as they showed no remorse for what they had done.

@moffittjc But if they die it's almost as if they have escaped punishment. Apparently the stepmother has been poisoned by the other prisoners with salt so at least she is suffering a little.

@sprite1950 Sometimes I think locking them away in prison is not good enough for what they truly deserve. Especially since they have no remorse like you said.

I think they will get what they deserve from the other prisoners.
