December 7 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today has been good. I didn't go to the Y. It's COLD out there. It was 1F this morning when I got up. They expected sub-zero. The wind chill is sub-zero. This gal isn't going anywhere. It's good that Writer's Guild is still on Zoom. 
Okay, what I'm thankful for today.
I'm thankful I can walk the hallway in this cold weather. I'm also thankful with as cold as it is, the snow is still hanging around.
I'm thankful for getting the garbage down to the basement underground parking area. I don't need to go outside to dispose of it.
Today, I'm thankful I don't have a dog I need to take outside to take care of business. I saw one of the tenants taking her little one out this morning when I was walking. Though if I do get a dog, I can let him out through the patio without having to go outside in the cold sub-zero weather. Remember, I love winter. I'm used to it. I'm just not foolish about it.
I'm thankful I got work done on one of the two projects I'm working on for others. I think that one is finished now. I'll know when she returns it to me.
I'm thankful I was here more today than I have been in a while. It's always good to see what you're doing in your part of the world.

I am thankful that I was able to be a shoulder to cry on and ears to listen after two of my co-workers recently went through some tough and emotional things in their private lives. One is going through a nasty divorce, and she has been losing battle after battle in court. The other is having trouble with feeling in her legs after she had recent back surgery. I may not be able to solve either of their issues/problems, but I can be there for both of them to support them in any way I can.

@JudyEv Oh trust me, I have none of the answers. But that is why I said in my comment that I have ears to listen. I am a good listener. And I know that is a big help just to be able to let it all out and have someone there to patiently listen to it all.

I am thankful that thanks to taking up more time playing a video game on Nintendo Wii Bowling, I am able to feel better physically and mentally.
I am grateful for my payment that came this afternoon from Branded Surveys to Paypal this afternoon.

I am thankful I got my walking done, and that I was able to talk to sis about something that was bothering me. I think it will be resolved.

Better to be warm inside.
Even if one is used to Bitter cold and snow, it is better not to experiment too much and go out only if urgently needed.

That's plenty to be thankful for.
I'm glad you can still work out, without having to go outside. I wouldn't be able to stand such cold temps. I don't think I'd be able to feel anything.

@just4him No. I went from St. Augustine to Daytona Beach. I've never lived in real cold areas. The closest was the few rare years when we had several hard freezes and lows in the teens and single digits.

I am thankful we are not that cold. 
Now my weather seems warm.
If you get a small dog they can be taught to use a litter box also, I knew someone with a tiny chihuahua that never went outdoors

@just4him As the dog was never out it didnt miss it just like a house cat. Dont get a doberman. They might be big but still find ways to trip me

@wolfgirl569 I've seen how big they get. I'm used to labs. One I had was a border collie. Wonderful dog. If I could find another, I'd get one.

I'm thankful I got my ssc money today so now I can set money aside for bills when they come up.
I'm thankful we were able to find my husband a newer used car at a decent price without having to visit a lot of dealerships first. I didn't want a red, black or white one and it's called gold mist. It's like a golden beige. I'll get orca one of these days but right now it's covered in snow.
I'm thankful that today is my Friday. I'm also thankful that I can start filling more drawers with what's been packed away. I'll need help switching out some shelves in the upper ones though.

And, this should have been the first one I'm thankful for a gal at work who switched shifts with me so I could spend time with my kids and grandkids to do it Christmas this Sunday. I'll still be working but will get out earlier.
