Watch what you eat

For those myLotters who are English-Second-Language speakers, ‘Watch What You Eat’ might seem like another of those strange sayings. Why should you watch what you eat? It isn’t likely to be going anywhere. But it’s something that might be said to a person who needs to watch their diet, maybe steer away from too much bread and potatoes.
And someone who is watching what they eat might say, when refusing a second helping of chocolate pudding ‘No thanks, I’m watching my figure.’ Which has led me to say to those who seem to be over-dieting, ‘you’d better keep an eye on your figure. If you get any thinner, it will disappear altogether'.
I forgot this one when I wrote about sayings we have when people are very thin. Do you have to watch your figure? I do but it will be a long time before it disappears.
Photo of a luscious dessert that I probably had two helpings of.

That really does look good. Almost could eat it myself, and shouldn't.

@JudyEv I'm sorry... I don't know women's sizes.

@DaddyEvil I was talking about figure shapes rather than women's sizes - as you probably knew.

I just love creamy desserts rather than heavy ones. But I'm not too choosy!

Yes, and it is a constant struggle, because in case you haven't guessed, I am the eat, drink and be merry type.

@JudyEv As far as I'm concerned, any time is pastry time.

I used to lose weight for others and this time it was for me so I hope to keep it off this time. I used to lose weight but could not keep it off. This time I am trying to maintain what I lost and I need to exercise and walk when I can.

Absolutely!! Luckily, places like Wholefoods, Down to Earth store have good alternative pastries, but pricey.

@DocAndersen That is confusing to me. AFL in Australia stands for Australian Football League (Aussie Rules). The game is followed by millions here.

If you are not active at all, the weight goes on very quickly. Good to see your name here again. I'm off to read your latest post. Take care.

Yum! Looks deee-lish. I can't get around; so even a small amount of food can make me gain weight. I could easily lose a ton of weight and still not be in my target weight zone.
