A Big Rocking Horse

Some years ago, we visited The Big Rocking Horse, a fun park in Gumeracha in South Australia. They make a lot of wooden toys there and the workmen are behind glass, like fish in a goldfish bowl. They use computers to run the machines which cut out toy parts to very precise measurements.
There is an animal enclosure when you can wander among kangaroos, wallabies and peacocks. At the entrance to the park is this massive rocking horse. You can climb to the top if you want to. The view from such a height is quite spectacular.
I wonder if and when we’ll ever get back there.
The photo is from a postcard I bought there.

So you and Vince climbed on and rode the horse for a few hours?

@JudyEv Oh, my! I expected you to tell me it lives at the barbecue area across the street now.

Because of the automation, they churn out a lot of toys every day.

We seem to be keen on having the biggest this or that. There are a number of them. If you search for 'giant icons' on myLot, you'll find some of my posts and photos of our big statues.

I bet that the view would be spectacular one from that height. Sounds like a fun and interesting place to visit. Hope you get to visit it again soon.
