Are you happy with your birth date?

Popular myLotter Marilyn (@Marilynda1225) has a birthday on Christmas Day. I have a cousin who shares a birthday with Marilyn and three friends whose birthdays are very close to Christmas Day.
One always felt their birthday was overshadowed by Christmas celebrations and, as children, they often thought they missed out on parties and/or presents because of their birthdays being so near Christmas.
I must admit I was always rather pleased that my birthday fell in July. Our older son has his birthday in February, my husband’s is in April and the younger son’s is in August. When the younger was only a little fellow, he always felt that his birthday came ‘last’ and he didn’t think it was very fair.
I also share my birthday with my brother and sister who are twins. I was born on their eighth birthday. Sadly, my brother passed away several years ago.
Are you happy with your birth date? Would you have preferred to have been born in some other month? Anyone who is a Leap Year baby with a birthday on 29 February? If so, when do you celebrate your birthday in non-Leap Years?

There is something I cannot understand... may be your twin brother and sister were born on your eight birthday, surely not you.
I was born on February 24th and I am fine with my birthday. The previous girlfriend of my husband was born on February 29th, as well as our myLotter @GreatMartin. He celebrates every 4 years, so he is a lot younger.

I couldn't work out the problem till I reread my words very carefully. Thanks for picking that up. I've fixed it now. I've made a few mistakes with titles too lately which I hate so I check them more carefully now but obviously I need to take more care with the text too.

Mine is the day before St. Patrick's Day. My husband always teases me and says my birthday is on the 17th of March.

I seem to remember those who have birthdays on Christmas or the day before, probably because it is a time that I personally think of my friends and extended family more then any other time of the year.
My birthday is in July.
I do not mind it, but when I was a child I disliked it.
We lived out in the country and the kids from school, most of which lived in town, had birthday parties, but I could not because I did not live close enough to see any of my friends over the summer months. But in the long run, it never killed me.
I hope that our son's twins share the same birthday. One twin is smaller then the other and early in the pregnancy she was actually a day younger then her twin sister.

Weatherwise, October is a good month here as we're heading into summer but it still isn't too hot.

@Tampa_girl7 We will always remember ours now as it is 9/11. In Australia, it would be written as 11/9. The twin towers came down on our 30th anniversary.

I'm pretty happy with my birthdate. I was born in the middle of October. And Pretty's birthday is at the end of February, so it's a good one, too.

@JudyEv There was one "problem" I had because my birthdate was after October 1st. When mom signed me up to start school, I had to start when I was almost six instead of five, like the other kids. The date cutoff was October 1st, so I started a year later than the other kids.
When I graduated, I was almost 19, which caused some fun problems for the school. Since I was legally an adult at 18, the school tried to insist my parent's had to sign for me to do stuff my senior year... I signed the paperwork and the school principal got upset with me. Thankfully, mom refused because I was legally an adult so the principal had to accept my signature.

@DaddyEvil I guess such stuff happens from time to time. It doesn't matter when they make the cut-off date, it will affect some kids. Our school year goes from February to December. I'm not sure of the cut-off date now.
I guess you felt pretty good signing your own paperwork.

I am but I have the twins with a birthday of Jan 8, and a daughter with one Jan 10. Their birthdays do feel like after thoughts, we just did Christmas now I have to get something for their birthdays. I have actually gotten to the point, I just buy their birthday presents at the same time and put it up. The stores are usually still recovering from Christmas and have nothing on the shelves. I am sure it will be worse this year.

A friend had her birthday just before Christmas and was in her 70s but she would still rant and rave about it. Once you get past a certain age, it doesn't make much difference when you have your birthday.

Two of my nieces and their children all have birthdays near Christmas. They make sure to celebrate separately. I have a friend that was born on Christmas day. They celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve and morning and after 12N, it becomes her birthday. Lot's of celebrating. I'm a May baby. I wish I was in April only because there are several family members in May but no one in April.

I was born on 8th too in the month of June. I am not unhappy about it but neither am I that happy as I had to face a lot of problems in life and am still having problems which I have to solve.

@aninditasen I used to worry about all sorts of things when I was younger, most of which never happened. I'm much better now but can still get caught out in some situations.

@JudyEv As both my boys were fall winter babies I did a special present day in warm weather. Its no fun to get things like bikes when it is cold out.

I always felt like I was born in the wrong season. I'm a summer baby but love winter. Though, I love the July birthstone. I don't know what the December birthstone is. So, I love July because it is my birthday, but wish it was a winter birthday instead of summer.

I was unhappy my Birthday wasn't in the summer, September 23 is the first day of fall. Now, I love having a fall Birthday! My cousin Carol and I share a Birthday. Mom's Birthday was Jan. 23, the same day my brother was born. Jay's Birthday is Dec. 23, his son Jarvis was born on Christmas. Too close to Christmas:)

I’m satisfied with mine. Leo’s daughter is on the same day and so is a niece of mine. My sisters birthday would have been on leap year but the doctor set her birth an hour back on her birth certificate. I have two grandsons whose birth date is on the same day and a nephews birth date was on Christmas Eve.
