25 years ago , the only thing with technology was a landline phone and a black and white TV in my house .
I would play with children my age and stay until midnight . We went to outdoor shows and socialized physically and over time , slowly , slowl y, all sorts of devices appeared, like, smartphones , smart watches and many others that are said to make our lives easier and save time .
I think this technology keeps me connected to each other but only virtual !
Do you have good friends or even family members , with whom you can only talk online and who will never meet you, even though , here on the net, he knows you very well ?

Yes, it's true. I have lots of "Facebook" friends who I will never see. Sometimes technology is good for keeping in contact and stuff, like if you have family abroad, but it's taking over our lives and that's not necessarily a good thing. If something goes wrong with the technology then some people would be stuck and not know what to do where as in the past people would manage quite well without all the technology.

So are you saying the technology isn't bad until we misuse it?

@Writingghost No, you don't have to misuse it. Just too much of it is not a good thing in any case in my opinion.

We just need to be responsible enough to use technology well.

Technology can be bitter sweet. Sometimes I like a book with pages that I can turn and feel. I find that most important with children.

Advances in technology make it easier and easier for us to accomplish more things, reach out to more people, etc. But does it make us better people? Perhaps our concern should not be about the evolution of technology but how we, people, adapt to these developments. Perhaps we need to evolve as well?

I miss those days! 80s and 90s are the best! I still want to play with my shadow, I still want to see the sunset and sunrise in our old bedroom, I still want to play with my playmates every afternoon, I still want to be excited for the weekends for the sentai shows, hehehehe.. I still want to play with my cousins on the terrace, I still want those days... when you need to pull out a book from the shelf to read good stories, I still want those days with lots of good romantic tv series.
I miss palcor and artreyu (my first hollywood actor crush), I miss our library with lots of fairytale book.. and as I grow older I miss borrowing sweet valley high from friends... those where the days when the use of internet is not yet rampant... I only dream of having computer when I first watch doogie houser, he always interacts with his computer after a logn day at the hospital... those are my childhood and teenage memories... During summer break we don't use video call -- a friend of mine have a cam recorder and we record our daily summer... hehehehe. I miss those days! And of course the birth of anime when I was in first year highschool... There is a lot of human interactions when gadgets wasn't that rampant. But anyway its a big help for families who are miles away.
