Hi guys, Hope you all are doing good. I am doing good too. Today is "World Braille Day". In life, many a times we aren't grateful for some things which God has given us and one of the most treasured is the gift of "Sight". We aren't able to stay in darkness for some time, imagine people going through it for lifetime, it's so terrible and terrifying. However, for blind people to get educated and for them to communicate with others, the invention of Braille language was done by Louis Braille who was born on 4th January, 1809 in France and who became blind after childhood accident. At 15 years of age, he invented the reading and writing system based on Charles Bieber's night writing system which we now know as "Braille". Adjusted over time, Braille is now easier to read and used all over the world. I feel he did such an extraordinary invention for blind people to communicate and educate themselves in order to survive in this world. There are many places like Theatres, Restaurants, Libraries etc where Braille format is available so that blind people can communicate easily with others. There are some cafes in India which are run and operated by blind people. It has made them independent and given them a source of earning in order to coexist with others in a equal manner. Let's celebrate this great day today and be always grateful to God for whatever he has given us and not take anything for granted. Let's be always kind and compassionate towards blind people thereby making them comfortable and not make them feel any different.
