January 7 - What I'm Thankful for Today.

Today has been good.
I'm thankful I found a picture I was looking for and in the process found many I forgot about. I don't know how many updates ago it was, but my side panel disappeared with all my picture folders. I needed to find a picture and was disappointed that I couldn't find it. Well, that disappointment kept me awake after an initial nap of 2.5 hours last night when I went to bed. I was up at midnight, turning the heat back on so I wouldn't freeze while I searched every possible location on the computer for that picture. It took an hour or more, but I found it. 
I wish Microsoft would leave some things alone when they update.
I'm thankful for the additional 4.5 hours of sleep when I went back to bed after turning the heat down once again.
I'm thankful I have the teaching ready for Sunday. When I thought I was ready, the Lord was kind enough to tell me I only had a skeleton and needed to put meat on the teaching. I did. It's done now and ready to present on Sunday. I have it printed up and in my purse ready to go.
I'm thankful for the exercise I got walking the hall this morning. I met a woman who is interested in buying a book from me. That was exciting.

Microsoft is awful that way. They move things, remove things, and rearrange so I can't find what I'm looking for! Why do they do this? It's extremely annoying!!!

Thankful that I finally got the writing assignment I was waiting for, I always save all my work in folders so I can find anything at any time.

I try to organize my photos, but it’s so difficult to locate the ones I want. Glad you found this and stay warm.
Thankful things are looking up for my son. Thankful for his surprise quick visit. Thankful our driveway got plowed. And thankful it’s Friday date night. It couldn’t come soon enough this week.

I'm glad I gave you a good laugh. I should get a picture taken in my purple mohawk hat. That one put instant smiles on everyone who saw me in it. 
I tried to organize my photos. Then along came Microsoft with an update and the folders are no more and pictures are where? Now, it seems Microsoft organized them according to the years and dates taken.
I'm so glad things are looking up for your son. Surprise visits are always wonderful.
It's good your driveway is plowed. It will make it easier to leave for the airport on Monday.

I am thankful for the nice warmer weather today since it is supposed to rain this weekend before another cold front comes on Monday. I am also grateful that my new pillow came in this afternoon via UPS.

I agree about those updates. Necessary but annoying! Glad you found your photos. You can waste a lot of time when something gets misplaced, and you want to find it.
I'm Thankful for our heater working really well. NJ has finally gotten some colder weather (not as cold as you), but in the teens in the evening. It can be hard to get comfortable enough to sleep when the temps drop a lot.

@just4him I have a blanket on the bed which heats to add extra warmth. When there is snow on the ground and those temps dip, it certainly comes in handy!

We have the opposite problem, we seem to have five or six copies of everything! This clogs everything up and makes it really difficult to remember which ones you have saved and which you already got rid of - or thought you did except several other copies are still there!
