Do you always comment on Youtube videos? This evening, my husband and I were watching Slapped Ham live streaming. I told him, I would greet him and let's see if he replied.
He did! He has 2.62M subscribers and there were 4800 plus watching his live stream.
I seldom comment on some videos. I better keep it to myself to avoid misunderstanding online.
How about you?

I respond on pony's music videos, prashu's garden videos and my friend's gaming videos but that's it.

I'm not a member on Youtube, it's not something I'm interested in doing.

@Janet357 I am to 3 of my kids. There are only 2 that's very hard to deal with and don't keep in contact.

I watch (or mostly listen-to, like I'm doing RIGHT THIS SECOND) YouTube-videos all day, and--while I don't regard them all as 'assignments that I need to respond-to'--I DO either "thumbs-up" or "thumbs-down" every one of them.
But YouTube IS regarded as "a social network." Even though most (or a large section) of it is 'professional studio-quality content,' it started as- (and partly still is) a site where video-loggers and other amateurs can post their videos ... the V-Log Brothers (Hank & John Green, now-famous authors) started their "channel" as a way to keep in touch with each other!
So I regard it as 'a huge list of conversations people are having'; and--just like with actual conversations--I try to 'pipe in' whenever they make me think of something to say

@Janet357 You know that show 'Adam Ruins Everything'? or maybe that 'old' show on SHOWTIME, Penn & Teller's BULL$#|+?
Videos like those, where you learn that 'things aren't the way they taught you in school.'

I do it sometimes when I really feel that the video is worth watching and deserves a good appreciation and encouragement. I have never done it for live streaming videos.
You must be thrilled

I love watching all sorts of videos on YouTube. If I feel I want to say something then I comment, if not, then I don't. Simple as that...
