Well hello, and welcome.
I wish you the best and hope you have fun here.
Your discussion may be deleted for being too short and without a question to discuss. You can edit it though and add some kind of question.
Someone else will post a link to the guidelines. You should read through them.
Good luck.

Nice. With both of us suggesting adding a question, maybe this person will do that and turn this into a discussion.

@DaddyEvil
I'd like nothing better than for that to happen.

A discussion does not need a question, it simply needs something to discuss,

It would be helpful if you edit what you've written and ask us a question of some kind so we can have a discussion about it.

A question does not make a discussion really. A topic makes a discussion.

@DaddyEvil Why not discuss Indonesia, or what new members might expect here? I'm only making the statement about questions because then you get people posting nothing but questions...and quite often a question can turn a discussion into nothing but a poll. I consider it a bit tricky, especially with a brand new user. I'm not complaining, just don't want them thinking a question is more important that the substance of the discussion, if you get my drift.

Welcome to myLot and what you have written looks perfectly fine to me. There are people on myLot from all over the world and some do not have English as their first language but you will find the people on myLot to be very encouraging, so keep posting and join the fun. You can start with small posts like this first one. You earn money based on your interaction with others so make sure to respond to all of the comments people make on your posts, and also make comments on other people's posts, and you will do fine here.

Uhm... no, small posts like this one are normally reported and deleted. GAA prefers more substance in a discussion starter. I'm actually surprised GAA didn't delete this one.

@Kouponkaren The problem with that is that you aren't GAA. With short clips like what was posted here, normally GAA deletes them.

@DaddyEvil I saw 2 things to discuss here: the fact that he is new to myLot and the fact that he is nervous about his English being limited for writing purposes and his being concerned about myLot members reactions to it. Of course, I can find a lot to comment on with only a little bit of information. When I write I have a lot to say. When I talk verbally, I like to keep it short and sweet. Anyway, have a good day.

Welcome to the site.
Don't feel shy about your limited capability of writing in English. Most of the members are from the country who don't have English as a native language so they don't are experts in the language. Just proceed with what you have in mind. Mylot understands it and doesn't mind your language.
