Do you live in the city? What do you think of rural ?

Many of us have had the opportunity to live, at least for a while in the cities and we know the crowds and the noise there. All the madness, the one where everyone is in a hurry and wants to get somewhere. In recent years I have chosen to live with my family in a village somewhere on the edge of the mountain. It is a quiet area with fresh air, where there are only forests and natural rivers! I don't think I would give up this place anymore. Where do you live? Are you happy with what is around you? picture taken by me now!

I've never lived in a big city. I live at the edge of a city of 7,000 people. I grew up in the middle of nowhere. Our nearest neighbor was 1 km away from us. I much prefer that type of living.

@soymex I agree... When I was growing up on our farm, my parents didn't care where I went or what I was doing as long as I was home before 6 pm. I spent my free time riding our horses around the countryside, swimming in the creeks and climbing the trees when I wasn't sitting in the shade and reading a book.

@DaddyEvil The tranquility and simplicity of the place do it all. I have closer neighbors, but after a few hundred meters the mountain starts and it is a distance of 50 km where there is only forest!

No, I live in a rural area. I prefer the city. The grass is always greener when I was in the city, I wanted a rural area.

I have lived in a city for many years. When we retired we decided to live in the countryside, a very small village in the green, not many people, peaceful. Yes, I am happy where I live.

@soymex We are happy here, the temperature is cold in winter, but we had the habit, it was the same in Milan where we both were born.

I live in the suburbs of Atlanta but I have lived in a small town and in the country. I liked living in the country but at this time of my life I’m very satisfied with where I am.

@soymex Yes it is. I loved having a vegetable garden in the country and my flowers but everything is so much more convenient here.

I love more the rural area as long as stores of prime commodities are within walking distance or one ride away. I live in a city right now, but it's quieter than most cities and I have everything I need a stone's throw away, So, for now, I'm contented with my place. Perhaps, in the future, I would like to go back to my rural birthplace and enjoy nature.

@soymex Last year I moved from a very noisy part of the city to the country, with the city not too far away. It is quiet with no crowds and we love it.

I live in a city which is actually just a town center by western standards. It is still largely a rural area. I love it here.

@stewartclint Many cities also have rural areas. But to be somewhere where you can't see the mountain and the forest, it's like it's special!
