I found $100

There I was swiffering under my bed and along with a huge amount of dust came out a $100 bill. I got all excited and was trying to figure out where the money came from. I was even thinking about what I would do with that money. I was about to put that $100 bill into my wallet but then decided to see if there was any missing money in the envelopes I had in my nightstand. Turned out one of them was missing $100. The money in that envelope wasn't mine but hubby's so I put the $100 back into it. That was that. I did not find any other money while swiffering the rest of the house. Have you ever found money while cleaning the house?

I occasionally find a $1 or a $5 in odd places. I deposit my $100 bills quickly so I don't lose them.

I’m not that lucky. Highest I ever found was a dollar. Hubby once found between $12-$19 (don’t remember exactly amount) inside a receipt at a Trader Joe’s parking lot.

I was really broke one time. The kids were little and my job paid once a month. I never used my credit cards unless it was an emergency or I was sure I could pay the balance before the end of the cycle. I was not on any assistance and there were no food banks back then. We were out out the usual things. Milk, butter, eggs... I was going through the house collecting change and I was hoping to find enough to get a few things at the store. I found about ten dollars in bills and coins. I had enough. It was a cold fall day and I pulled out a winter jacket to wear. In the inside pocket was three 100 dollar bills. I had done some work the winter before and forgot about it. Instead of me running to the store to pick up a few things, we all piled in the car and went out for dinner before going shopping. Finding money unexpectedly can be exciting.

I used to find change when cleaning under the sofa cushions but haven't in a long time. Probably because we haven't had friends over for two years now.

I seldom see or handle cash these days. The latest time was last Monday when Hubby and I bought 3 persimmon trees, 1 feijoa tree, and one chilli plant from a Facebook Marketplace seller. We paid cash for all of them.

I have found money in a jacket in my winter jacket after it sat in there all summer it was only $20 but I'll take it. I also have found money I hid in other places that I have found like in a backpack, in my car in a dresser drawer. I mostly just leave it there so I can find it another time when I forget it is there.

Sometimes I will find some change in my pockets and such. Usually it's not much, but better than nothing. I don't usually complain.

One of my kids found a $100 bill on the floor of Walmart, last December. We turned it in to lost and found but after, I thought I should have taken it home and told Walmart I had found money (without letting THEM know how much) and to have the owner call me, because I suspect a Walmart employee just kept it for themselves. Gave our name and number (watched them write it down) in case the owner didn't show up, as we were told after 30 days we could keep it. But when i checked in a week later, they didn't have any of my info and after 2 employees had a whispering match, they hastily told me, "Owner came back for it!" Uh huh. Right.

They just took it for themselves. if I ever find that much money outside of my house the only place it will be going to is my wallet.

Aww, that's too bad, it belongs to your husband. But good you found it! I find money while out & about. Biggest amount, was $20 that I found. Of course, I find coins all the time too, mostly pennies.

I find more pennies than other coins. As far as bills I don’t remember finding anything more than $1.

What is cleaning the house? Let me ask my wife what that is. I really have no idea. It is a complete mystery to me. lol

Cleaning the house... I wouldn’t call what I do cleaning. It’s more like dusting. I dry swiffer the floors. That’s three stories plus a basement. After that no strength or desire to actually wash the floors. So the floors are still dirty, just dust free.

It would be exciting to find 100 dollars. I do sometimes find money in the house, but it is rarely bills. I do find them from time to time in a pocket though when I am doing laundry.
