My Student Has Teary Eyes

Before the end of a particular class online, my student has asked me a question why incurred a lot of absences last month. I can see how she wanted to know the matter and it is too personal. I just told her that it is a family matter. It seems she knew what had happened to my mother in heaven now. The bottom line is that my life is not an open book for everybody. Some people on myLot know more than is probably wise about me. I hope none of them would ever use the information to hurt me in some way.

Whereas I am a different person. I would have told her what had happened to me as I don't think there is anything to hide in it. Yes, we should draw a line for the things we should reveal to others and whatnot.

I am very secretive whether or not it's something personal or not. I just love the peace of people not knowing what is going on in my life. And I never ask anyone about their businesses unless they tell me themselves.
