It's been a month since I decided to go into a calorie deficit. I want to lose weight, because since giving birth I have gained 4 kilograms more than my initial weight. I try to reduce the portion of food, reduce carbohydrates. but it's been 2 months with no results. I've eaten a little but I haven't lost any weight. should i go to a nutritionist right away?

Give it time. It took 9 months to put the weight on so don't worry so much about losing it quickly.
Just keep doing what's right for you.
Welcome to MyLot. I hope you have a good time here.

Yes dear, you can consult if you want to. Not eating won't help in losing weight. Good carbs are needed by body. Eat right, in portion control way and start some sort of physical activity like walking, cycling, exercising etc then gradually you will see results. Take care

I have never been able to lose weight if I didn't exercise also. I usually take brisk walks of at least 20 minutes every day (when my babies were little, I put them in a stroller and brought them along). Or I danced at home to some CDs that have a very peppy beat.

Good luck with your weight loss.
You might want to measure your waist and other parts of your body as the weighing scale doesn't show complete weight loss.

I easily lose weight if I want too. If I want to get fat it's a lot easier for me. I wonder why you don't lose weight. A health professional may help you

I think I was in my 40's when I started putting on weight due to an Underactive thyroid that at the time was not yet diagnosed. When I found out the weight gain was due to an Underactive thyroid I was quite relieved. The pills they put me on did not help me lose the weight. I've only recently managed to lose the weight due to my macrobiotic diet.
